TeamSnap is the better choice if you run single teams and want a free starting point for the team app, or if you want families to pay by card inside the registration form itself.

Without Widdo

Spreadsheets, screenshots and group chats.

  1. Open the dues spreadsheet. Check last week's Zelle notifications against the roster, one name at a time.
  2. Scroll the team group chats for payment screenshots. Some say "paid!" with no amount or month.
  3. Paste the same reminder into one chat after another, editing names and amounts by hand.
  4. At practice a parent asks what they owe. The answer is in the spreadsheet at home.

With Widdo

One question, one approval.

  1. Ask Widdo by chat, or by voice on the drive in:
“Who still owes for this month?”
It answers from your club's records: families, amounts, days late.
  2. Widdo prepares the reminder. You check the preview, the recipients and the amounts, then approve. Nothing goes out without your OK unless you allow it.
  3. Card and ACH payments are already marked paid. Zelle and cash receipts wait in To verify; you approve them in a few taps.
  4. The parent opens Widdo and sees the balance and payment history, in English, Spanish or Portuguese.
Widdo doesn't just organize your club's information. It helps get the administrative work done.
How we build Widdo

What TeamSnap does well

TeamSnap describes itself as team, club and league management for youth sports, with TeamSnap ONE for clubs and leagues and a separate app for coaches, team managers and parents.

  • A widely used team app for coaches and families, with schedules, chat and availability.
  • Registration, payments, rosters and schedules for organizations in TeamSnap ONE.
  • Live streaming and highlights, including its own streaming camera, plus sponsorship, tournament and website tools.

Which one fits you? Three questions

Answer honestly. If TeamSnap or another platform fits your club better, this will say so.

1/3How do families need to pay?
2/3What do you need most?
3/3How big is your club?

Choose TeamSnap if…

  • You run single teams and want a free starting point for the team app.
  • You need live streaming, sponsorship tools or a club website from the same vendor.
  • You want families to pay by card inside the registration form itself, before they join.

Choose Widdo if…

  • Small and mid-size clubs (up to 500 players on self-serve plans) whose biggest headache is collecting monthly dues and knowing who owes.
  • Clubs that want a flat monthly price and no percentage taken from dues by the software.
  • Clubs that want an AI operator that answers questions from club records, prepares payment reminders and takes attendance, with approvals the club controls, by chat or by voice.
  • Clubs whose staff or families prefer Spanish or Portuguese: the interface and the assistant work in English, Spanish and Portuguese, and each person picks their language.

What Widdo does not do

Worth knowing before you switch:

  • Card and ACH payments are for US clubs and go to the club's own Stripe account: the club connects its own Stripe account and pays Stripe's processing fee (Widdo takes 0%). Refunds and disputes are handled from the club's Stripe dashboard.
  • Widdo does not build public club websites, livestream games or run background checks.
  • Widdo is a young product. It does not have the track record, integrations or third-party reviews of platforms that have served clubs for many years.

Common questions

Is Widdo cheaper than TeamSnap?

It depends on your club. Widdo costs $99 a month for up to 80 players (Starter), $249 a month for up to 200 players (Pro), $499 a month for up to 500 players (Enterprise), and adds a 0% platform fee to dues. TeamSnap's published pricing is summarized in the table above with its source; where TeamSnap does not publish a price or a processing rate, ask them for a quote and compare the total for a full season.

Can families pay club dues by card in Widdo?

Yes, in US clubs. Once the club connects its own Stripe account, families pay by card, ACH, Apple Pay or Google Pay straight to that account. Widdo takes 0%; Stripe's processing fee is paid by the club, and the club can turn online payments off at any time. Zelle, Venmo, bank transfer and cash keep working with receipts the club approves.

Does Widdo work in Spanish?

Yes. The interface and the AI assistant work in English, Spanish and Portuguese. Each staff member and parent can use their own language, and US clubs still see US pricing in USD.
