How to set up late fees

A late fee is an extra amount added to payments that stay unpaid after their due date. You set the club rule once, and each charge can follow it.

  1. Select Payment Settings in the left menu.
  2. Open the Late Fee tab.
  3. Turn on Enable late fee charges.
  4. Choose Simple late fee or Tiered late fee.
  5. For a simple fee, pick Percentage or Fixed amount, enter the value, and set the Grace days. Zero means no grace period.
  6. For tiered fees, select Add range. Set From day, To day, the type and the value. Then select Save late fee ranges.
  7. For a simple fee, select Save Changes at the top.

Tips

  • Tiered ranges can be cumulative, so each tier adds to the previous one.
  • A single charge can use the club scale, its own late fee, or none. Set this under Fine tuning when you create the charge.
  • Set reminder days before and after the due date in the General tab.
