How to create a category

A category groups your players by age, gender or level, for example "U-12 Boys". You need at least one category before you can run your club.

1. Select Categories in the left menu.
2. Select Create Category. On an empty list, select Create your first category.
3. Enter the Category Name, for example "U-12 Boys".
4. Choose the Sport and the Gender. If you pick several sports or genders, Widdo creates one category for each.
5. Set Birth year (from) and Birth year (to). Widdo shows the ages this covers.
6. Set the Status to Active and select Submit.

You do not add players one by one. Players join through your public enrollment link and are placed in a category. See the enrollment link article.

Tips

• If you see "Cannot create categories", add a sport to your club first in My Club.
• Clubs that organize by skill level use a Level order instead of birth years.
• Use the Allow older players and Allow younger players options when a category should accept players outside the birth year range.
