Delete your Widdo account
Last updated: August 18, 2026
You can delete your Widdo account and the personal data associated with it at any time. This page explains how, and exactly what is deleted and what is kept.
From the mobile app
- Open the Widdo app and sign in.
- Go to Settings → Account.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Before confirming, you can export your data — your sports record and payment history — so you keep a copy.
Without the app
Write to hey@widdo.co from the email address of the account you want to delete, with the subject "Delete my account". We verify the identity of the requester and proceed. If you no longer have access to that email address, tell us and we will ask for another way to confirm it is you.
What we delete
- Your credentials, email, phone number, government ID and date of birth
- Your profile photo, preferences and language settings
- Your sessions, access tokens and device push tokens
Deletion is completed within 30 days of the request.
What stays with your club
Attendance, charges, payments, receipts and category history remain in your club’s records in pseudonymized form: your name is replaced by an anonymous identifier and the link to you as a person is severed. Those records are the club’s own books, and the club — not Widdo — is the controller of that information.
Billing and tax records are kept for 5 years, as required by law.
If you own a club
If you are the only owner of an active club, you must first transfer ownership to another administrator. This prevents a club from being left with no one able to manage the data of its players, coaches and families. The app will guide you through the transfer before letting you delete the account.
